The KIM hood has been developed to protect both the operator and the surrounding environment / outside any manipulation of chemical contamination, toxic or harmful substances, coming from the working area, without interfering in the operator's manual itself.
The hood fact, through the motorized fan, draws outside air into the work area and then conveying it towards the upper ejection. Possible vapors dispersed during processing are thus conveyed outside, after molecular filtration, protecting the operator from toxic inhalations.
The filtered air, ejected from the hood, is recycled in the room or ducted out of the building.
The coal absorption process is closely linked to its microporous structure: to protect the integrity the hood is supplied with pre-filters which have the purpose of retaining the dust particles that would otherwise clog the pores of the carbon filter reducing the exchange surface and so the duration of the filter.
